Here’s my beef!
An F&L The European Freight and Logistics Leaders’ Forum series of short personal comments on the global freight logistics market.
Here’s my beef! We CAN speed up energy transition
On November 4th, 2025, an online forum on the topic of “Electrifying your fleet” was organised in collaboration between F&L, Smart Freight Centre and D2XCEL. The session started with an overview of all relevant (perceived) challenges, including vehicles, charging infrastructure, renewable energy supply, and digital routing and charging management. But the focus was on innovative solutions, which are available NOW and can be deployed immediately.
This session built on F&L “How, not Why“ discussion between senior logistics leaders in Zurich, June 2025.
We are running a series of very concrete follow-up sessions. Each will be focused on one specific (perceived) challenge and currently available innovative solutions. No abstract presentations, but concrete collaborative discussions on practical solutions with innovators. These Online Forums will take place every last Wednesday of the month, 12:00-13:30 CET (unless conflicting with public holidays etc.). Participation is for members of F&L and/or Smart Freight Centre.
Each Forum will include a very short introduction to topic by the moderators or a guest speaker from the industry, followed by 3-5 innovator presentations focused on concrete solutions and examples of how they have been implemented already by industry actors. The second half of the session is dedicated to an open discussion, especially focused on practical questions from the audience. The objective is to help you to understand how you can deploy such innovations to speed up the Fleet Electrification in your company or ecosystem.
Session 2: Wed 25 February 12:00 CET, Fleet electrification requires good solutions for charging at the depot or yard.
